Location: Pulborough, West Sussex
Salary: From £33,664 per annum + £62.64 per sleep-in Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mix of shifts and administrative days)
Job Overview
Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker ready for your next move, or an existing Deputy Manager looking for a fresh challenge? We are seeking a dedicated leader to join our nurturing 5-bed residential home. Our service provides a warm and caring environment for vulnerable young people, helping them come to terms with their past while preparing for a successful future.
As part of a specialist regional leadership team with the backing of a major national organization, you will be encouraged to be creative and influential. You will work alongside clinical advisors to deliver high-quality, child-centered support and help shape our internal therapeutic care models.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Operational Leadership: Act as a key member of the management team, providing stability and leadership to the staff group.

Therapeutic Care: Implement and evolve specialized therapeutic models of care to achieve positive outcomes for young people.

Development: Take on additional responsibilities to build the confidence required to lead the home in the Registered Manager’s absence.

Staff Mentoring: Support team members to thrive professionally, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained across all shifts.

Collaboration: Contribute your ideas to regional management meetings and participate in the strategic progression of the service.

Administration: Manage daily administrative tasks, including staff rotas and budget oversight.
Essential Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Residential Children’s home at a Senior or Deputy level.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People.

Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.

Skills: Experience managing budgets and staff rotas.

Driving Licence: A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
