Location: Bracknell
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Job Description:
We’re recruiting a Deputy Residential Home Manager (EBD) in Bracknell for an expanding specialist provider preparing to open a second children’s home. This is a rare opportunity for a Deputy Residential Home Manager (EBD) in Bracknell to help shape culture, standards, and outcomes from the ground up—within a service already rated Good by Ofsted.

This Deputy Residential Home Manager (EBD) role in Bracknell is designed with genuine work-life balance: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no scheduled sleep-ins or weekend shifts. You’ll support an experienced Registered Manager in a setting that prioritises de-escalation, therapeutic care, and high-quality staff development.

If you’re looking for a Deputy Residential Home Manager (EBD) position in Bracknell where leadership, training, and stability are taken seriously, this could be the step you’ve been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a new staff team to deliver consistently high standards of care
  • Support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Help deliver and embed a strong in-house training programme to upskill the wider team
  • Maintain a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where children with EBD can thrive
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices that drive positive outcomes
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager to build a culture aiming for sustained improvement and future excellence

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred, or willing to work towards)
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Deputy within an EBD children’s residential setting
  • Confident coaching and leadership skills with a passion for developing others
  • Calm, resilient, and professional approach to challenges within EBD care
  • Commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and child-centred practice
