This Deputy Residential Home Manager (EBD) role in Bracknell is designed with genuine work-life balance: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no scheduled sleep-ins or weekend shifts. You’ll support an experienced Registered Manager in a setting that prioritises de-escalation, therapeutic care, and high-quality staff development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a new staff team to deliver consistently high standards of care
- Support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Help deliver and embed a strong in-house training programme to upskill the wider team
- Maintain a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where children with EBD can thrive
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices that drive positive outcomes
- Work closely with the Registered Manager to build a culture aiming for sustained improvement and future excellence
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred, or willing to work towards)
- Proven experience as a Senior or Deputy within an EBD children’s residential setting
- Confident coaching and leadership skills with a passion for developing others
- Calm, resilient, and professional approach to challenges within EBD care
- Commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and child-centred practice
