Salary: From £33,664 per annum + £62.64 per sleep-in
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a leading specialist provider in Pulborough, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional with a background in residential children’s care to take on a key leadership role within a warm and nurturing 5-bed residential home. The Deputy Children’s Home Manager will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, child-centered support and developing innovative therapeutic care models to support vulnerable young people. This role offers a chance to work within a supportive regional leadership team, with opportunities for career progression and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership and stability to the staff team, ensuring high standards of care.
- Support the implementation and development of therapeutic models of care to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Lead the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, taking on additional responsibilities to build confidence and leadership skills.
- Mentor and support staff to ensure professional growth and maintain a high standard of care across all shifts.
- Contribute to regional management meetings and participate in strategic planning for the service.
- Oversee daily administrative tasks, including staff rotas and budget management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Residential Children’s Home at a Senior or Deputy level.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience managing budgets and staff rotas.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
