Job Title: Children's Home Deputy Manager

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to join their team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a newly established children’s home that specialises in supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates safely and effectively, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive environment, with responsibilities including staff management, recruitment, and deputising for the Registered Manager during their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Manchester.
- Deputise as the manager when the Registered Manager is absent.
- Support with managing and recruiting a dedicated staff team.
- Ensure the home maintains high standards of care and safety for children and young people.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Promote a positive, nurturing environment that encourages the well-being and development of children and young people.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People.
- Previous experience in a team leader or deputy management role within a children’s home setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence is essential.
