Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a well-established children’s home in West Molesey, Surrey. The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 10–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), ensuring a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment. This is a rewarding position for a passionate professional looking to make a positive impact within a vibrant and values-driven organisation. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the management team to uphold high standards of care and support the ongoing development of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, supervision, and support to the staff team.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and best practice standards.
- Assist with the oversight and monitoring of home finances to ensure resources are used effectively and responsibly.
- Ensure young people have access to a wide range of enrichment activities and experiences that promote growth and exploration.
- Support staff development through coaching, on-shift support, and modelling good practice.
- Contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain a positive, stable, and nurturing environment for young people with EBD needs.
- Support the ongoing development and growth of the home.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate strong experience in children’s residential care and supporting young people with EBD.
- Have a confident understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations.
- Be dynamic, creative, and able to bring energy and fresh ideas to the home.

- Be a collaborative team player committed to working with an established staff team.
