Job Title: Deputy Children’s Home Manager
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire, UK
Salary: £19.75 per hour

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a leading specialist provider in St Albans. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to support young people in a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive, develop, and achieve positive outcomes. As Deputy Children’s Home Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home and deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise staff teams to maintain high standards of care
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
- Promote a safe, structured, and child-focused environment
- Contribute to care planning and the development of young people
- Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
- At least 1 year of experience supervising staff
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare (required)
- Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
