Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: £38,500 per annum plus additional benefits
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading children’s residential home in Cannock. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding, contributing to the ongoing development of the team and the home’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential home
- Lead and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures
- Promote a child-centred approach, fostering a safe and nurturing environment
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
- Support staff training and ongoing professional development
- Contribute to the home's Ofsted inspections and quality standards
Requirements:
- Experience within children’s residential care, with a background in a senior or supervisory role
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (desirable) or willingness to work towards
- Full manual driving licence
- Strong leadership skills, safeguarding knowledge, and a child-focused approach
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
