Salary: £38,500 per annum plus additional benefits

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading children’s residential home in Cannock. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to make a positive impact on young lives while progressing their career within a supportive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding, contributing to the ongoing development of the team and the home’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential home
  • Lead and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Promote a child-centred approach, fostering a safe and nurturing environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans
  • Support staff training and ongoing professional development
  • Contribute to the home's Ofsted inspections and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Experience within children’s residential care, with a background in a senior or supervisory role
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (desirable) or willingness to work towards
  • Full manual driving licence
  • Strong leadership skills, safeguarding knowledge, and a child-focused approach
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs
