Salary: £44,907 per annum + £1,000 Bonus, and up to £2,080 Allowance

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our outstanding children’s residential care team in Dover, Kent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of a well-regarded children’s home, contributing to the development and wellbeing of young people in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Dover, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager in the operational management of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
- Overseeing the development of staff and young people, including formulating and updating placement plans, risk assessments, and positive handling strategies.
- Leading the team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care aligned with the organisation’s therapeutic ethos.
- Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed and all incidents are reported in line with local authority procedures.
- Supporting staff supervision, training, and performance management to promote a motivated and skilled team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager in Dover, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Services or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working as a senior member of staff within a children’s residential care setting.
- Knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- A current Enhanced DBS Check and a valid UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A resilient, approachable, and motivated attitude, with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
