Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. This role involves working across two of our services, The Willows and The Ivy, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within residential and respite settings. You will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of care and promoting positive well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Barry, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the service manager and staff to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual needs
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of support workers to ensure effective service delivery
- Supporting individuals through 1-1 support, promoting independence and positive well-being
- Participating in an on-call system to ensure continuous support and oversight
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:
- A QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards QCF Level 4
- Experience working within residential or respite settings supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Proficiency with electronic systems and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Trustworthiness, reliability, and excellent communication skills
- A positive outlook, with a commitment to empowering individuals and supporting team growth
- A valid driver’s licence is essential, as the role involves working across multiple services
