Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at a leading EMI residential home in Flint. This hands-on leadership role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred dementia care. The successful candidate will be a visible and accessible leader, supporting staff and residents alike within this vibrant care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Flint, your daily duties will include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for care staff, providing guidance and support throughout the shift.
• Leading by example to promote high standards of compassionate, person-centred care across all shifts.
• Supporting the development, supervision, and performance management of Senior Care Assistants and the Activities Coordinator.
• Monitoring the quality of care delivery, intervening where standards are not met, and promoting continuous improvement.
• Working closely with the management team to support operational needs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Developing meaningful, individualised activity plans in collaboration with the Activities Coordinator to enhance resident wellbeing.
• Supporting staff during busy or challenging periods and fostering a positive team environment.
• Covering senior shifts when required, including administering medication and managing incidents.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a dementia or elderly care setting.
• Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and dementia-specific practices.
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence.
