Salary: £44,907 per annum (including sleep-in payments and annual on-call allowance)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our outstanding children’s residential care team in Dover, Kent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the management of a well-regarded children’s home, contributing to the development and wellbeing of young people in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Dover, Kent, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager in the co-management of the children’s home, ensuring smooth operational delivery.
- Overseeing staff development and supervising team performance to maintain high standards of care.
- Formulating and updating placement plans, risk assessments, and positive handling strategies tailored to individual young people.
- Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Care Standards, and safeguarding policies.
- Addressing recommendations following OFSTED inspections and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for children.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager in Dover, Kent, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Services or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working as a senior member of staff within a children’s residential care setting.
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding legislation.
- A current Enhanced DBS Check and a valid UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Resilience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
