Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of residential supported living services, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to oversee supported accommodation in Newport. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Newport, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the Regional Operations Manager in managing the staff team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care for young people.
- Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with external agencies, including local authorities and safeguarding boards.
- Leading on safeguarding, care planning, and ensuring compliance with CIW or Ofsted regulations.
- Supporting staff supervision, training, and development to promote a positive and safe environment.
- Contributing to quality assurance processes, record-keeping, and service improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with staff recruitment, performance management, and ensuring adherence to safe recruitment policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in children’s services, with a commitment to work towards a Level 5 Diploma within two years.
- At least two years’ leadership experience within a residential children’s services setting.
- Proven experience working in compliance with CIW or Ofsted regulations.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and legislation relevant to children and young people.
