We’re recruiting a Deputy Manager for a small, well-established 3-bed children's home in Rainham, Essex, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

What you'll be doing:

Supporting the Registered Manager in daily operations
-
Leading, mentoring, and supervising the care team

Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures

Building trusted relationships with children, families, and external professionals

Taking the lead in the Registered Manager’s absence
What we’re looking for:
-
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) – Level 5 a bonus!

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting

Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations

Confident leadership skills and a calm, caring approach

A natural role model who leads with empathy, consistency, and respect
