Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of residential care for adults with learning disabilities, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their team in Carmarthenshire. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by supporting their independence and engagement within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Carmarthenshire, your daily duties will include:
- Assisting in the efficient and effective daily running of the home, taking responsibility for overall management in the absence of the Home Manager.
- Supporting the development and management of staff through appraisals, supervisions, and return-to-work interviews.
- Chairing staff meetings and ensuring adequate staffing levels through rota management.
- Acting as the on-call person, providing support to staff and making safe, effective decisions both in-house and remotely.
- Promoting the safety, dignity, and rights of residents while supporting their engagement with the wider community and access to leisure activities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:
- Level 3 QCF in Care or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience at a senior level within a Residential Social Care setting.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check.
- Flexibility to work a 37.5-hour week, including some sleep nights, on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
