Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading specialist provider in Preston (PR3). This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality care and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining standards in the absence of the Home Manager, overseeing staffing, budgets, and resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your leadership will be vital in motivating staff, managing performance, and fostering a person-centred environment that promotes positive outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the service
- Supervise and motivate care staff, ensuring high standards of care are delivered
- Manage staffing rotas, budgets, and resources efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews
- Promote a positive, person-centred approach to care and support staff development
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and practice development
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a care management role, ideally within a similar setting
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A good understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care and safeguarding
- Willingness to enrol and complete a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (support provided)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- A car driver is essential for this position
