Job Description:
Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or a senior Children's Residential Support Worker/Team Leader seeking to advance your career? A leading specialist provider is looking for a dedicated professional to join their children’s residential home in Plymouth as a Deputy Care Manager. The Deputy Care Manager role in Plymouth offers a rewarding environment for those passionate about supporting children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the home manager to ensure smooth operation of the service and support staff development
Supervise and motivate junior staff, fostering a positive team environment
Maintain the highest standards of care to meet the physical, emotional, and behavioural needs of children and young people
Contribute to the development and implementation of placement plans and risk assessments
Facilitate engaging daily activities, including community outings, social clubs, and independence initiatives
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment

Requirements:

NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker
Full UK Driving Licence for transporting young people
Over 21 years of age
Commitment to achieving or having achieved Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
