The Challenge & The Reward

Lead the Floor: Deputise confidently for the Registered Manager, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the home meets all internal and external quality standards.

RISCA Authority: Be the go-to expert on the Children’s Home Regulations for Wales (RISCA), driving compliance and best practice in every aspect of the service.

Team Builder: Organise and manage staff rotas, provide strong supervision and development, and cultivate a positive, accountable team culture.

Safeguarding Champion: Ensure the highest level of safeguarding, acting as a role model for ethical, non-discriminatory, and youth-focused practice.
Location: Wales (Specific location details upon application). Hours: 40 hours per week, rotational shift pattern.
Your Essential Checklist

Qualification: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children's Health and Social Care (or equivalent Level 4/5 relevant to Children & YP).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of management experience in a children's residential care setting. Must have experience acting up to cover the Registered Manager's absence.

Knowledge: Expert understanding of RISCA regulations and current judgments.

Registration: Current registration with Social Care Wales (SCW) and the DBS Update Service.

Drive: Must hold a UK Manual Drivers Licence.
