Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence, wellbeing, and resilience among young people.
- Lead shifts and supervise staff to ensure high standards of care and support.
- Support the Registered Manager with audits, compliance, and operational duties.
- Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children and young people.
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that promotes the safety and development of young people.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to deliver holistic support.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services, or willingness to work towards it.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting.
- At least 1 year of supervisory and shift-leading experience.
- Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and quality standards.
- Experience in safeguarding, recording, and reporting to protect children and young people.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment for young people.
