Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Abergavenny, Monmouthshire
Salary: Up to £42,906 per annum
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading specialist provider in the children’s residential care sector. Based in Abergavenny, the Deputy Manager will play a vital role in supporting the leadership of a well-established children’s residential home. This position offers a Monday–Friday working pattern, a competitive salary, and excellent opportunities for career progression. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the children’s residential home
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Residential Support Workers
  • Ensure compliance with CIW regulations and maintain high standards of care
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
  • Step into the manager’s role in their absence, ensuring smooth running of the home

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a children’s residential home setting
  • Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care CYP Qualification
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
