Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful difference in young people's lives? We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a leading specialist provider in residential care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead with empathy, develop innovative solutions, and ensure high standards of care within a dynamic environment. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to uphold quality standards, support staff, and create a safe, nurturing space for young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality care in line with Ofsted standards and company policies
  • Lead shifts confidently, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people and staff
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each young person's needs
  • Conduct staff supervisions, promote best practices, and foster team development
  • Manage administrative duties, including documentation and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Foster positive team morale and encourage reflective practice
  • Collaborate with local authorities, therapy, and education services to support young people's progress
  • Address staff conduct and promote continuous professional growth
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring a solution-focused approach

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential care setting with young people, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • A clear DBS check (please inform us if on the update service)
  • Strong teamwork skills and resilience under pressure
  • Flexibility to work changing shift patterns
  • Desirable: Driving license (or working towards one), emotional and social intelligence, good IT skills
