Your Impact as a Deputy Manager
As a Deputy Manager, you'll play a crucial role, working closely with the Registered Manager to uphold the high standards of our homes. This position is dynamic and rewarding, requiring you to:

Be a Creative Problem-Solver: Develop innovative ways to manage behaviours and guide colleagues.

Lead with Empathy: Confidently lead shifts, ensuring top-tier care for our young people while managing essential administrative tasks.

Nurture Your Team: Conduct supportive supervisions that promote best practices and staff well-being.

Connect & Care: Share in the fun of the workplace, but also be prepared to offer comfort and support during emotional moments for both young people and staff.

Listen Actively: Be open and curious about what you can learn from every young person.

Ensure Quality: Help maintain company policies and Ofsted Quality Standards, consistently reviewing progress and adapting plans.

Organise & Empower: Plan your workload effectively and help others do the same, always aiming for better outcomes for young people.

Support Wellness: Foster positive team morale, encouraging reflection and recognising the positive impact staff have.

Create Safe Spaces: Ensure a nurturing, secure environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Manage Holistically: Oversee individual plans and documentation, reflecting each young person's diverse needs.

Guide & Develop: Address staff conduct and competence, promoting continuous growth.

Communicate Positively: Always maintain a positive communication style, seeking solutions even in challenging situations.

Collaborate for Success: Support staff in their direct work with young people, ensuring seamless collaboration with local authorities, therapy, and education services.

What You'll Need:

Experience: At least 1 year in a residential care setting with young people, including some supervisory experience.

Qualifications: A Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Essential Checks: A clear DBS check (please inform us if you're on the update service).

Skills: Strong teamwork abilities and resilience under pressure.

Flexibility: Ability to commit to changing and demanding shift patterns.
Desired, but not essential: A driving license (or working towards one), strong emotional and social intelligence, and good IT skills.
