Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or a senior Children's Residential Support Worker/Team Leader looking to elevate your career? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a leading specialist provider in a pivotal Deputy Care Manager role within a nurturing children’s residential home in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives in a well-established 3-bed service committed to delivering high-quality, outcome-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the home manager to ensure the efficient operation of the service and support the development of the staff team
- Supervise and motivate junior staff, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment
- Uphold the highest standards of care to meet the diverse physical, emotional, and behavioural needs of children and young people
- Contribute to the development and implementation of placement plans and risk assessments
- Facilitate engaging daily activities, including community outings, social clubs, and initiatives to promote independence and positive social skills
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment

- Rotational shifts: 2 on, 4 off, with approximately 8-10 sleeps per month

What You Need to Qualify:
- Essential NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
- Full UK Driving Licence for transporting young people
- Over 21 years of age
- Commitment to achieving or having achieved Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
