Job Description:
We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join a supportive care team in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. This is a hands-on leadership role working across two residential/respite services supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs, helping people to live with greater independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Barry, your daily duties will include:

• Working alongside the Service Manager to maintain high-quality, person-centred support across residential/respite services in Barry
• Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Support Workers to deliver consistent, safe care
• Providing 1:1 support where required and promoting positive wellbeing and independent living
• Participating in an on-call rota and supporting the team with day-to-day operational decisions
• Using electronic systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel) to support service administration

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:

• QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, with the willingness/ability to work towards QCF Level 4
• Experience working in a similar care setting (residential and/or respite) supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
• Full UK Driving Licence (driver essential) due to working across two services
• A professional, reliable approach with strong communication skills and the ability to motivate others
