Deputy Manager – Residential Learning Disabilities (Adults)
Location: Carmarthenshire (near Llandeilo / Llangadog)
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (rota incl. weekends + some sleep-ins)
Vetro Recruitment is working with a well-established residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities in Carmarthenshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior / Deputy-level professional to join a values-led provider where residents are supported to live active, fulfilling lives and build independence.
The role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the home and step up to lead in the Manager’s absence. You’ll play a key part in maintaining safe, high-quality care and developing a strong staff team.
Key responsibilities
- Support the effective daily running of the service and lead shifts when required
- Help manage staffing levels and contribute to rotas
- Support staff development: supervisions, appraisals, return-to-work interviews
- Chair staff meetings in the Manager’s absence
- Participate in on-call and provide guidance for safe decision-making
- Promote residents’ dignity, rights, safety, and community engagement
What you’ll need
- Experience at a senior level in a residential social care setting
- Level 3 QCF in Care (or equivalent)
- Willingness to work flexibly on a rota (Mon–Sun) including some sleep-ins
- Enhanced DBS (required)
