Vetro Education is thrilled to be working with a highly regarded secondary school in the Neath area to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the school community and significantly impact students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will take on the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher.
This full-time, long-term role will run Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:10 pm, starting in September 2025. You will be teaching a diverse range of students in Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes. The school welcomes applications from all suitably qualified Design and Technology teachers.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead engaging and dynamic Design and Technology lessons for students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare stimulating workshop and classroom environments and develop effective schemes of work where necessary.
- Deliver the Design and Technology curriculum in line with national guidelines.
- Inspire learners through practical projects and theoretical understanding.
- Adhere to the school's behaviour management policies to create a positive and safe learning environment.
The Candidate: What You'll Need to Succeed:
- At least 1 year of Design and Technology teaching experience (consideration will be given to enthusiastic NQTs).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a Teacher (we can provide support with this process).
- References covering the last two years with no gaps in employment history.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
