Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to join a secondary school in the Rhondda area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form. The successful D&T Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, planning schemes of work, and supporting learners through a variety of classroom and lab-based activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
- Deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology, including practical and theoretical components.
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Mark work, prepare for parents' evenings, and participate in school events.
- Utilise weekly PPA time for planning and preparation.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Design & Technology teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs).
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
- Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- References covering the last two years with no gaps.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
