Job Description
We are recruiting a Dual Registered Manager to lead two children’s homes in Lymington, Hampshire. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivering safe, high-quality care and ensuring the homes operate in line with regulatory standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
As a Dual Registered Manager based in Lymington, your daily duties will include:
- Leading the operational management of both homes, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.
- Ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards 2015, including maintaining an up-to-date Statement of Purpose.
- Developing and supporting staff through induction, supervision, appraisal, training plans, and effective communication systems.
- Promoting partnership working with children, families, internal teams, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
- Implementing the organisation’s care ethos and model (including PACE / DDP) across practice and culture.
- Managing staffing resources, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, and overseeing budgets and operational targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Dual Registered Manager, you will need:
- A relevant Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Proven leadership experience within a children’s residential care setting, including managing teams and service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to lead with professionalism, resilience, and a child-centred approach, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
