An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and dynamic Dual Registered Manager to lead two newly established Children's EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Homes in Hereford. This role is ideal for a Level 5 qualified professional seeking to make a significant impact in a growing provider of therapeutic care for young people. As the Dual Registered Manager, you will oversee the operational, strategic, and regulatory aspects of two small, 2-bed EBD children's homes, shaping their culture and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, life-changing care. The Children's EBD Homes in Hereford offer a unique chance to build and develop services from the ground up, with a focus on compliance, quality standards, and positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Leadership: Achieve and maintain registration with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for both children's EBD homes, ensuring full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Service Development: Lead the final setup of the new service, including staff onboarding, policy implementation, and welcoming young residents.
- Safeguarding & Welfare: Act as the lead for safeguarding, creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for young people with EBD.
- Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead dedicated staff teams across both homes, ensuring high standards of training, supervision, and professional practice.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee budgets, rota management, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the children's EBD homes.
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within a Children's Residential EBD setting.
- Proven success in achieving positive outcomes during Ofsted inspections.
- In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with excellent time management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for travel between the two children's EBD homes in Hereford.
