Job Description:
We are seeking a Dual Registered Manager to oversee two brand-new, luxury children’s homes in Great Barr and Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. These high-end homes are designed to provide an exceptional environment for children in our care, featuring modern amenities and therapeutic spaces. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a flagship service from the ground up, supported by experienced professionals and a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Dual Registered Manager based in Birmingham, your daily duties will include:

• Providing strategic leadership and operational management for two luxury children’s homes in Great Barr and Handsworth Wood.
• Building and developing a dedicated team, including Deputy Managers, Senior Support Workers, and Residential Support Workers.
• Ensuring the homes operate in compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and quality standards.
• Overseeing the implementation of the PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) therapeutic model to promote child-centred care.
• Leading on safeguarding, care planning, and behaviour management strategies tailored to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation within the homes.
• Supporting children’s emotional, physical, and educational development, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
• Managing budgets, resources, and staff rotas efficiently.
• Building effective relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and health professionals.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Dual Registered Manager, you will need:

• NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a children’s residential setting.
• Proven experience working with children with EBD, trauma, and complex behaviours.
• In-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework.
• A clear enhanced DBS check and a full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including participating in the on-call rota.

Desirable:

• Therapeutic training or experience in trauma-informed care.
• Experience achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
• Supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or mental health issues.
