Are you a high-performing Deputy Manager ready for your first Registered Manager post, or an experienced RM looking to lead a flagship service?
We are seeking a Dual Registered Manager to oversee two brand-new, luxury 2-bed children’s homes in North Birmingham. These homes are being developed to an extraordinary standard—featuring games rooms, dual living spaces, and high-end finishes—designed to provide the very best environment for the children in our care.
Under the mentorship of a fantastic RI - a former local authority troubleshooter and specialist in service transformation—you will be supported by a leader who values high standards, child-centred practice, and the well-being of his staff.
The Role & Structure
-
Strategic Leadership: Oversee two 2-bed homes located just one minute apart, ensuring a seamless management approach across the B20 and B43 postcodes.
-
Team Build: You will have a dedicated Deputy Manager across the services, supported by Seniors and RSWs in each individual home.
-
Therapeutic Model: We lead with the PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) model, ensuring a therapeutic heart is at the centre of everything we do.
-
Autonomy: This is a rare opportunity to "put your stamp" on a new service from the ground up, with planning permission already secured for the first home.
What We Are Looking For
-
The Right Move: We are specifically looking for candidates with a long notice period (ideally 3 months). We do not want an immediate start; we want the right person.
-
Experience: Either an experienced Registered Manager with a proven track record of "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings, or a highly experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.
-
Values: You must be passionate, child-centered, and committed to maintaining the "luxurious" standards of these homes.
-
Expertise: Familiarity with the PACE model and a deep understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
The Package & Perks
-
Salary: A highly competitive base of up to £65,000.
-
Performance Bonus: Rewarding your success in registration and Ofsted outcomes.
-
Work-Life Balance: The organisation respects personal lives and offers a high degree of flexibility.
-
On-Call: Shared on-call between the Manager and Deputy, with the RI providing second-tier safeguarding support.
-
Growth: Significant personal development opportunities
Requirements
-
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
-
Full UK Driving Licence.
-
Proven history of ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance.
Interviews are taking place now for a May/June 2026 commencement.
