Key Responsibilities:
As a secondary English Teacher, your key duties will include:
- Teaching all areas of the school curriculum, with a focus on English.
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Planning, delivering, and marking lessons that cater to all student abilities.
- Motivating and challenging pupils through innovative teaching methods.
- Maintaining good classroom control and behaviour management.
- Staying informed about curriculum updates and developments.
- Collaborating with other teachers and teaching assistants to support student progress.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent overseas qualification).
- Willingness to cover subjects outside of your specialism if required.
- Hold a fully enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or be able to obtain a new one.
- References covering the last two years with no gaps.
- Right to work in the UK.
