Job Title: French Teacher
Location: Pontypridd, Wales
Salary: £173 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join a secondary school in the Pontypridd area. This full-time, long-term position offers an excellent opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, delivering engaging lessons and supporting learners to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a positive and motivating learning environment within a supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form
- Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in French
- Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Mark work, prepare for parents' evenings, and participate in school events
- Utilise weekly PPA time for planning and preparation
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs)
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
- Be registered as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Provide references covering the last two years with no gaps
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- Have the right to work in the UK
