Salary: £173 per day minimum

Job Description
An established educational provider in Monmouthshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher for a maternity cover position. This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive secondary school environment, working within a forward-thinking Humanities department committed to delivering high-quality education and positive outcomes for all learners.

Key Responsibilities
As a Geography Teacher based in Monmouthshire, your daily duties will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons to pupils of varying abilities
• Developing pupils' knowledge of physical and human geography
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment through effective management
• Adapting teaching strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs
• Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department and wider school team
• Supporting the delivery and development of the Curriculum for Wales

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Geography Teacher, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level, including placements
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
