We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations/Responsible Individual (RI) to join our team and help create nurturing environments where children with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs can thrive. The role offers a fantastic £80k base salary + up to £36k in performance-related bonuses!
The Role: Lead Operations and Quality
As the Head of Operations / RI, you will be the Registered Individual with overall accountability for the operation of 5-6 children's homes. You will lead and inspire a high-performing team, including two Operations Managers and the Registered Manager for each home.
You will oversee multiple locations, providing direct line management, strategic oversight, and ensuring quality, customer satisfaction, and financial targets are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight & RI Accountability: Register as the Responsible Individual (RI) and hold ultimate accountability for the quality and compliance of 5-6 homes.

Team Leadership: Provide direct line management and supervision to two Operations Managers and the Registered Managers, fostering team strength, competence, and motivation.

Quality Assurance: Oversee all care operations and physical environments, ensuring service delivery is of the highest standard and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Governance: Uphold all organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legal standards, ensuring a robust framework for compliance.

Inspection Success: Work proactively to ensure homes achieve and maintain 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted judgements.

Safeguarding Lead: Drive and manage all safeguarding initiatives to protect children and staff, maintaining a culture of vigilance.

Business Growth Support: Assist with admissions, placement goals, and commissioning processes alongside the Referrals team.

Strategic Planning: Support the development and maintenance of robust placement, risk, and healthcare plans for children.

Training & Development: Conduct training needs analysis and contribute to the company's continuous professional development and training program.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Management Team to optimise service delivery and contribute to the organisation's strategic goals.
What You'll Bring:
The successful candidate will be a results-driven, compassionate leader who can demonstrate a proven track record of success in children's residential services.
Essential Requirements:

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People) or an equivalent relevant qualification.

Multi-site management experience within children's residential care.

Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or similar senior leadership role in Children's Residential Services.

A demonstrable track record of homes achieving and maintaining 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted judgements.

Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, Ofsted requirements, and best practices for children with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
