This is a unique opportunity for a committed professional to support students with complex learning disabilities and social communication needs. The role combines classroom-based teaching support with practical work-related learning experiences, offering a diverse and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education, mentoring fellow support staff, and supporting students’ personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students through functional, motivational, and meaningful work experiences aimed at building independence and life skills.
  • Act as a mentor and support for Teaching Assistants within the classroom setting.

  • Implement safe physical intervention techniques (Team Teach) when necessary to support students with complex needs.

Requirements:

  • Over 25 years of age with a full, valid driving licence for at least 2 years.
  • Willingness to pass a minibus driver’s assessment.
  • Exceptional resilience—mental, emotional, and physical—to support students with challenging behaviours.
  • Own transport is highly desirable due to the semi-rural location.
  • Right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship available.

Benefits and Rewards:

  • Free meals during term time and on-site parking.
  • Life insurance, Medical Cash Plan, and 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Fully funded Team Teach positive behaviour support training and comprehensive induction.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • Access to mental health support and discounted fitness classes.
