About the Role
We’re recruiting a passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA/HLTA who enjoys helping pupils thrive—academically, socially and emotionally—within an inclusive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils access learning and make progress
- Support class teachers with lesson delivery, differentiation and classroom organisation
- Help create a calm, consistent learning environment and promote positive behaviour
- Support pupils with SEND (including ASD) where required
- Assist with personal/intimate care where needed, following safeguarding procedures at all times
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and wider school community
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a school/education setting (SEND experience desirable)
- HLTA status/qualification is ideal (or strong experience operating at HLTA level)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children
