Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in Wirral. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with English and Literacy, focusing on phonics and reading skills
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies in an alternative provision setting
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to develop tailored support plans
- Provide targeted interventions to help students manage behavioural challenges and improve literacy skills
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students with SEMH and SEN to achieve their full potential
Requirements:
- HLTA training or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children, either paid or voluntary, particularly in SEN or SEMH settings
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and behaviour management
- Proactive, patient, and understanding attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities
