Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Wirral | Salary: Up to £140 per day | Hours: 08:30 - 16:00

Join our client’s specialist school as a dedicated HLTA supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, and help shape their educational journey through targeted literacy and English interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with English and Literacy, focusing on phonics and language development.
- Assisting with behaviour management strategies in an alternative provision environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to implement tailored support plans.
- Providing a nurturing and patient presence to help students manage behavioural challenges.
- Contributing to a positive classroom environment and supporting social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements
- HLTA training and certification.
- Experience working with children, including voluntary or paid roles.
- Previous experience in an SEN and SEMH setting.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Clear understanding of special educational needs.
- Driving Licence (desirable but not essential).
- Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 5 in Relevant Fields.
- Patient, understanding, and team-oriented attitude.
