Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with English and Literacy, focusing on phonics and language development
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies in an SEN and SEMH setting
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to deliver tailored support
- Support students in managing behavioural challenges and fostering a positive learning environment
- Contribute to the development of individualised learning plans and interventions
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Requirements:
- HLTA training or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with children, either paid or voluntary, particularly within SEN or SEMH settings
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and behaviour management
- Proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
- Excellent team-working skills and a collaborative attitude
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities
