Do you want to be the leader of a 22-bed service Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury service in for a well-known National Provider of Adult care services?

I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Home Manager to oversee a 22-bed  Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury service for adults located in Dolgellau, Gwynedd that supports adults aged between 18 - 65.

The service is looking for experienced leaders who have experienced managing an Learning Disabilities and / or Acquired Brain Injury service

Home Managers work alongside the Area Manager and the Senior Leadership team, enabling the Support teams to deliver quality service to the people who they support. Home Managers are also responsible for managing and building positive relationships with all stakeholders and putting our vision and values into action to deliver first-class service.

  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 
  • Hours: Full-Time

  • Shifts: 37.5 hours a week

As a Home Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care.
  • Oversee all aspects of the operation of the home including staffing, compliance and health and safety.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and empowerment, ensuring that each resident is treated with compassion, empathy, and understanding.
  • Conduct regular reviews of residents' needs and develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Keep abreast of developments in mental health care practices, legislation, and regulations, and ensure that the home operates in compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.

Requirements for the Home Manager:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) Essential!
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (Desirable)  
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a Learning Disabilities setting, with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with acquired Brain Injuries
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices governing mental health care, including the Mental Health Act and CIW standards.
  • A compassionate and person-centred approach to care.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with care management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
