As a Homeless Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, learning disabilities, or recovering from substance misuse. Key Responsibilities:
- Support hostel occupants in adhering to rules and regulations
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals in supported housing environments
- Explain and enforce health and safety procedures within the hostel
- Offer relevant information to visitors and clients
- Liaise with Housing Officers to meet client needs effectively
- Promote equality, diversity, and high standards of customer care
Requirements:
- Strong empathetic approach and value-based attitude
- Experience in social care or supported housing environments is preferred
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting well-being
