Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Cardiff, Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily routines and activities
- Attend trips, holidays, and organise weekend activities such as climbing, baking, and outings to leisure parks
- Promote independence and emotional wellbeing among young people
- Contribute to safety and care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support positive behaviour and manage challenging situations effectively
- Attend and support children during behaviour management when necessary
- Ensure the safety of young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people within your care
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s interests and development
Requirements:
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care environment
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Restraint training (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day restraint training course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with behavioural challenges
- Additional social care or childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3/5)
