Inclusion Support Mentor
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey (Near Guildford/Horsham)
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time (39 weeks per year)
Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
Job Overview
Are you an experienced TA, STA, or HLTA looking for a specialized step into behavioral support? We are seeking an Inclusion Support Mentor to join our dedicated in-house Inclusion Team. This role is vital in supporting students aged 5-19 with complex social communication needs, learning disabilities, and autism.
You will focus on building effective behavior management skills across the Trust, using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to maintain a safe, inclusive environment. This position offers a unique path to becoming a qualified Team Teach Trainer, providing coaching and mentorship to staff teams while managing your own class caseload.

Actual Salary: £23,999 - £26,603 (Dependent on experience)

Retention Bonus: £1,000 total bonus (£250 at 1 month, £250 at 1 year, £500 at 18 months).

Training: Opportunity to train as an Intermediate Team Teach Trainer.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Behavioral Support: Implement and model evidence-informed Positive Behaviour Support strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote student inclusion.

Staff Mentoring: Train and mentor colleagues in PBS techniques and Team Teach through role-modelling, co-coaching, and formal training sessions.

Case Management: Manage your own class caseload, creating and implementing individual Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessments.

Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze behavior data to identify trends and patterns that inform best practice across the school and college.

Collaboration: Work closely with the in-house therapy team and CAMHS professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.

Assessment Support: Provide assistance during assessment days for prospective students.

Professional Reporting: Maintain high standards of professional incident report writing and documentation.
Essential Requirements

Experience: Previous experience as a TA, STA, or HLTA, ideally within an SEN or Inclusion setting.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or a willingness to work towards this).
