Salary: £23,999 - £26,603 (Dependent on experience)

Job Description:
Are you an experienced teaching assistant, support worker, or HLTA seeking a specialized role in behavioral support? A leading specialist provider is looking for a dedicated Inclusion Support Mentor to join their in-house Inclusion Team in Cranleigh, Surrey. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with students aged 5-19 who have complex social communication needs, learning disabilities, and autism. As an Inclusion Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive environment by implementing positive behavior strategies and mentoring staff. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a difference in SEN education and looking to develop their skills further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and model evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to promote student inclusion and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Train and mentor colleagues in PBS techniques and Team Teach through role-modelling, co-coaching, and formal training sessions.
  • Manage your own class caseload, creating and implementing individual Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • Monitor and analyze behavior data to identify trends and inform best practices across the setting.
  • Collaborate closely with in-house therapy teams and CAMHS professionals to support student well-being.
  • Assist during assessment days for prospective students.
  • Maintain high standards of incident reporting and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a TA, STA, or HLTA, ideally within an SEN or inclusion setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Strong resilience—mentally, physically, and emotionally—to manage dynamic environments.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Benefits and Career Development:

  • Opportunities for progression into leadership and coaching roles within SEN support.
  • Comprehensive training, including annual Team Teach and Safeguarding refreshers.
  • Employee wellbeing support, including 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and mental health first aiders.
  • On-site perks such as free hot lunches (term time), free parking, and access to a beautiful campus on the edge of the Surrey Hills.
  • Retention bonus of £1,000, paid in installments over 18 months.
