Role Overview
Are you looking for a permanent role where you can truly make a difference? We are recruiting Caring and Passionate Support Workers for a beautiful 4-bed residential service near Bridgend. This service supports four adults (aged 18-65) with ASD, SEMH, and complex needs in a stunning rural setting.
Joining a sociable and supportive team, you will help service users lead fulfilled lives. Whether it's a trip to the zoo, the cinema, or a day spent on arts and crafts, you’ll be paid to have fun while providing vital care.
Salary & Compensation
- Base Salary: £25,550 - £25,850 (based on 39 hours per week).
- Additional Pay: Competitive sleep-in rates + extensive overtime opportunities.
- Incentives: DBS and Social Care Wales Registration fees are fully covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote independence and support individuals in making their own life choices.
- Implement and follow bespoke care plans for each resident.
- Accompany service users on community outings (Zoo, Cinema, Day trips).
- Assist with gardening, arts, crafts, and domestic duties.
- Provide varying levels of personal care to ensure dignity and wellbeing.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Driving Licence: Essential due to the rural location and requirement to transport service users.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work a rota including days, nights, and bank holidays.
- Personal Care: Candidates must be comfortable providing personal care.
- Visa Status: If applicable, you must have at least 1 year remaining on your UK visa.
- Experience (Preferred): Experience with Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), Buccal Midazolam, or communication tools (PECS/Makaton) is highly desirable but not essential.
