Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Learning Disability Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider supporting adults with learning disabilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to help individuals lead more independent lives within residential, supported living, or day services. As a Learning Disability Support Worker in Llanharryllan, you will play a vital part in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users aged 18 and upwards with autism spectrum conditions and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments
• Promote independence and encourage development of life skills
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, and team members
• Participate in engaging activities including walks, games, music sessions, arts & crafts, and more
• Support emotional wellbeing and help individuals achieve their personal goals
• Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every individual in your care
• Observe, monitor, and record service user conditions accurately

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to pay for one
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be able to work above 24 hours per week
• A driver’s licence is essential for supporting residents in the community, such as attending activities or hobbies
