Do you have an interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities to enable them to lead a more independent life? Are you enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to enrich and make a difference in the lives of these people?

Vetro Social Care are actively seeking experienced Adults Learning Disability Support Workers to work within a residential service. The service users are aged 18 and upwards with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs. You will be assisting residents through a care pathway to help them live as independently as possible.

Job Title: Learning Disability Support Worker

Location: Outskirts of measteg

Employer: Vetro Recruitment 

Hours: Part-time and Full-time positions available, including day, night, and sleep shifts.

Pay: £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing therapeutic care and support to adults (18+) with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs.
  • Observing, monitoring, and recording patient conditions.
  • Treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.
  • Assisting residents with their progression through a care pathway to maximize independence.
  • Supporting residents in the community, including attending activities and hobbies (requires a driver's license and access to own vehicle).

Requirements:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working within a social care setting.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Essential: Full UK Driver's License and access to own vehicle.
