Key Responsibilities:
As a SEND Support Assistant based in Liverpool, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning activities for pupils with SEND, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
- Delivering personalised interventions to promote progress in English and maths.
- Assisting with behaviour management and pastoral support to foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a SEND Support Assistant, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting, particularly supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and the right to work in the UK.
- Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with a patient and positive attitude.
- Flexibility, resilience, and high expectations for pupil achievement, inclusion, and behaviour.
