Job Title: Support Worker – Adult Care, Residential Support, Complex Needs
Location: Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, UK
Salary: £24,375 - £27,000 per annum (Includes one sleep shift per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for full-time Support Workers to join an established, reputable adult care service dedicated to supporting individuals with complex needs in Thornbury. This rewarding role is perfect for hands-on professionals who enjoy working directly with people and helping them live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives suited to their age and abilities
- Maintain a warm, homely, and friendly environment within the residential setting
- Respond effectively to challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect
- Promote independence and overall well-being of service users
- Ensure a safe and secure environment at all times
- Keep up-to-date with care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and communication methods
- Support individuals with complex needs and taxing behaviours safely and sympathetically
Requirements:
- Experience working as an Adult Support Worker or in a similar setting is desirable
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Adult Social Care (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering people to live their lives
- A valid driver’s license is essential, as travel between sites may be required
- Must be over 18 years old
- This position is open to men only under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1)
- Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check
