Job Description:
Our client, a highly regarded Catholic school in Liverpool, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious full-time Teacher of Mathematics to join their dynamic department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students, primarily at KS4, with opportunities to contribute across KS3 and KS5. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire pupils, deepen their understanding, and help them achieve their full potential within a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students at KS4, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum from KS3 to KS5.
  • Support students’ personal development and promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental effectiveness and share best practices.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and extra-curricular activities related to mathematics.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, ideally up to KS4 or KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
