Job Description:
Our client, a highly regarded Catholic school in Liverpool, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious full-time Teacher of Mathematics to join their dynamic department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students, primarily at KS4, with opportunities to contribute across KS3 and KS5. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students at KS4, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum from KS3 to KS5.
- Support students’ personal development and promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental effectiveness and share best practices.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and extra-curricular activities related to mathematics.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, ideally up to KS4 or KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
